Whole Wheat Challah Recipe

*1 cup lukewarm water

*3 packs of Fleishmans “Rapid Rise” yeast

*1 teaspoon of sugar

  Set aside


*4 egg whites

*3 whole eggs

*½ cup of honey

*1 tablespoon of salt

*2/3 cups of oil

*¼  cups of warm water

*12 cups of whole wheat flour

*Add a bit more flour

*Knead dough

*Apply a little Canola oil around the dough

*If making two batches of Challah, then place dough on aluminum foil

*Let it rise for 30 – 45 minutes


*Shape Challah and put it in greased pan

*Let Challah rise again

*Preheat oven to 350 F

*Egg Challah

* Bake for 35 – 45 minutes at 350 F
